On Sunday, September 13th, 26th Street is ours.
Mexican Independence Day Parade - 55th Edition
55th Annual 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade · Sunday, September 13, 2026 · 12 PM · Free
For 55 years, this street has filled up.
On Sunday, September 13, the parade steps off from the Little Village Arch at 26th and Albany and runs two and a half miles down 26th Street to Kostner. Floats, mariachi, folklórico, charros on horseback. And hundreds of thousands of people who come for the same reason: to see their own, and to be seen.
This year we ride under the theme United We Ride, Stronger Than Ever — a tribute to the bond that carries Little Village forward, no matter what the year brings. In a year when so many of our families have felt tested, we answer with what we have always had: love, unity, and pride in who we are.
Bring your family. Come early, find a good spot, and stay to eat and shop on 26th Street. The businesses along this corridor belong to people like you, and this is their biggest day of the year.
And if you are far away, watch it. Telemundo Chicago carries the parade live, along with the Telemundo Chicago and NBC 5 Chicago digital platforms. Wherever you are in the country, Little Village comes to you.
Fifty-five years on, we are still here. Come celebrate it.
