One of the most colorful parades in Chicago, the 26th Street Mexican Independence Parade, celebrates Mexican Independence with floats, mariachi bands and dancing in the streets.
The parade, now in its 51st year, would be held Sunday, September 13, in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, with the fun kicking off at noon at the intersection of 26th and Kedzie. Thousands lined the streets and displayed their Mexican pride.
One of the largest Midwest Parade, televised Nationwide, with an attendance of approximate 400,000 spectators live.
