The mentees are primarily local businesses, but some entrepreneurs have traveled from neighboring communities.
Aimed primarily at the Chicagoland area business community.
LVCC's reputation transcends those boundaries, that is why, we offer access to the program to the business community in general.
Audience
Little Village in Chicago has over 1,800 registered businesses, many of which are small and family-run. The neighborhood's 26th Street corridor is a major commercial strip with hundreds of businesses.
Chicagoland has over 100,000 business registered. A vast majority of them are Small and Mid-side and their owners don't a formal business education.
Many Hispanic Business trust and know Little Village as a source of products and services geared to the Mexican-American Community.
Little Village is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Chicago, with 17,000 people living per square mile. Over 85,000 people live in the neighborhood.
The neighborhood's commercial strip has immense purchasing power. It is one of the biggest revenue makers in Chicago.
