DESCRIPTION:This year come celebrate with the Little Village Chamber of Commerce the annual parade on Sunday\, September 15\, 2024. One day before the traditional date of our national holiday of September 16. \nThe 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade kicks off with the VIP Breakfast at one of the local restaurants at 9 AM with over 300 guests. \nThe Mexican Independence – VIP Breakfast has grown into one of the largest gatherings of Hispanic business leaders in the Midwest. This event will have limited tickets and will sell out. DESCRIPTION:Celebrando Nuestras Tradiciones \n\n\n\nThe Little Village Chamber of Commerce announces the date and theme for the 2024 Annual 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade. \nThe annual parade will kick-off at noon on Sunday\, September 15\, 2024\, the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month. The parade is a celebration of Mexican Independence Day\, which is celebrated each year on September 16th. \nThe parade’s theme\, “Celebrando Nuestras Tradiciones\,” will center around the rich tapestry of Mexican traditions and cultural celebrations. Expect a vibrant display as parade participants showcase an array of traditions stemming from diverse regions and cultures. From the elegance of quinceañeras to the captivating rhythms of Mexican folkloric dancing and the skillful artistry of charrería\, the parade will be a kaleidoscope of experiences\, highlighting the essence and diversity of the Mexican heritage in Chicago and throughout the United States. \n“We’re delighted to unveil the 53rd Mexican Independence Day Parade theme”\, expressed Jennifer Aguilar\, Executive Director of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce. – “Ensuring safety remains paramount\, guaranteeing a secure and delightful experience for everyone. Post-parade\, we invite everyone to delve into our community’s essence by patronizing the local businesses lining the bustling 26th street corridor to further enrich the experience.” \nThe parade will continue its tradition by kicking-off from the historic Little Village Arch located on 26th street and Albany Avenue and proceed down 26th street to Kostner Avenue. The 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade is considered one of the largest parades in the Midwest and brings together over 400\,000 participants\, residents\, and visitors along the two-and half-mile business corridor. The parade features brightly colored floats\, mariachi bands\, and folkloric dancing.
